Biography

Eric Perkins

Eric C. Perkins has been practicing business law in Richmond, Virginia since 1996.  Born and raised in Bluefield, West Virginia, Eric spent seven years in Charlottesville, Virginia attending college and law school at the University of Virginia.  

Eric has helped real estate sponsors raise over $1 billion in Regulation D private offerings, including tenants-in-common (TICs), Delaware statutory trusts (DSTs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), syndicated limited liability companies, real estate opportunity funds, and promissory note offerings. Eric has assisted entrepreneurs in structuring and forming hundreds of business entities. In addition, he has advised entrepreneurs and business owners on franchising matters, has worked regularly with tax-exempt organizations on a variety of corporate, tax, and compliance issues, and has represented a unique group of clients in the sports entertainment field.

Eric is a frequent author and lecturer on a variety of securities and business law topics. He is a co-author of the Virginia CLE handbook “Contract Law in Virginia” and author of “The Essential Legal Guide for the Professional Wrestler.”
