Drafting Your Final Press Release

It is a morbid thought, but have you ever read an obituary and wondered what yours will look like? Well, why not be proactive by either drafting your own obituary (I prefer the term “final press release”) or jotting down a few notes as to what you would like to see included. Click here for a short checklist that will provide helpful guidance for your loved one who gets tasked with writing your official obituary. Once you have completed this questionnaire, be sure to keep it with your other estate planning documents so it will be readily available at the appropriate time. Attaching a recent (or favorite) headshot is also a good idea that will save your loved ones quite a bit of time and stress during what will already be a very difficult time.
