Over a thousand leaders in the alternative investment industry wrapped up three days of education and networking at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas earlier today.  With a jam-packed agenda featuring fifty break-out sessions with over a hundred speakers, the Real Estate Investment Securities Association (REISA) demonstrated its continued growth and evolution from its humble beginnings as the Tenant in Common Association.  I was pleased to share my two cents as a panelist on sessions focused on Best Practices in Direct Placement Programs and Business Ethics.  While the economy looks to remain fragile for the foreseeable future, there are some very promising developments that could drastically change the Regulation D private placement industry in the coming years.  Conference highlights will be forthcoming in future posts.
