So Who is Your Registered Agent?

So who is your registered agent? Every business entity formed in Virginia is required to have a registered agent. While the registered agent is really just a ministerial function (i.e., an official point of contact for a Virginia LLC or corporation who receives correspondence from the SCC and other state agencies and service of process if the entity is ever sued), Virginia law does impose some limitation on who is eligible to serve as registered agent and many small business owners opt to outsource registered agent responsibilities for various reasons. I serve as registered agent for well over 100 local businesses and nonprofit organizations and would be happy to serve as registered agent for your business or nonprofit organization.
